Leadership Roundtable in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The AWTS table-top exhibit will be on display at the Voices
of Sophia Annual Gathering in Tucson, AZ.
Thursday
and Friday, March 15 & 16.
The AWTS traveling exhibit will be on display at the Mid-Atlantic
Regional Meeting of the American Academy of Religion, in New
Brunswick, NJ. A panel discussion on the work of the AWTS is
scheduled for the conference, and AWTS Director Claire McCurdy
will present a workshop on grantwriting to the Women's Caucus.
Wednesday,
March 21.
Solo Flight, a one-woman play by Pat Donohue about the life
of Jeanette Piccard, presented by the UTS Women's Center and
the AWTS. James Chapel, 7:30 p.m. On July 29, 1974 Jeannette
Piccard was one of the "Philadelphia Eleven," women
who were "irregularly" ordained priests in the Episcopal
Church. Years earlier, in the 1930's, Piccard had piloted an
enclosed-capsule balloon into the stratosphere with her husband,
scientist Jean-Luc Piccard. In conjunction with the performance,
the AWTS will mount an exhibit of materials related to the Philadelphia
Eleven.
Tuesday,
March 27.
Service of Thanksgiving for the International Association of
Women Ministers (IAWM), founded in 1919. James Chapel, noon.
The IAWM's organizational records are one of the most recent
additions to the AWTS. In conjunction with the worship service,
a small collection of materials related to the IAWM will be
on display. |
